The Notre Dame de Paris is at the top spot because it finally rose from the ashes of the devastating fire in 2019, with its incredible restoration project ending last year. It has long been celebrated as one of the world’s greatest cathedrals, and the rebuilding work has been astonishing to watch. I visited last year just after the work finished and it was a remarkable sight.
